Our Services
Austin Medical Associates X (AMAX) with business affiliate RC Enterprises (RCE), Lakeland FL, offers a wide variety of telemedicine provider services, including genetic testing for cancer, neurocognitive, pulmonary and immune disorders. We have recently added urgent care, annual wellness visits, remote patient monitoring, and continuous glucose monitoring to our product line. With a robust, capable and affable provider roster, and a solid and trustworthy business affiliate in RCE, AMAX is prepared to meet the needs of the expanding opportunities for the efficient practice of telemedicine.
Meet Dr. Austin
JOHN AUSTIN, MD
John Austin is a former cardiovascular surgeon from Nashville, TN. After a research fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, John practiced cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery until 2010. Following a forced retirement due to cervical stenosis, he has worked in healthcare IT (Encore Health Resources, Houston), followed by participation in four medical start-ups. After two years of employment by the US Department of Defense (MEPS, Nashville), he began practicing telemedicine in 2021. He founded Austin Medical Associates X (AMAX) in December 2023.
